- Date and URL of the visit
- The URL previously visited by the visitor
- Browser used
- Operating system used

4. Use of Cookies
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called "cookies" on some pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device.
Cookies allow us, for example, to track and determine your preferences and to identify you individually during a visit to our website. Most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive after the browser session ends ("session cookies").
So-called "persistent cookies" (e.g., to identify you as a member and enable login), on the other hand, remain on your device and allow us to recognize you, for example, on your next visit.
Some third-party services embedded on our site may also use cookies. Please refer to the respective providers' websites for information on how they function and process data. The services currently in use are listed in this privacy policy.
You can prevent cookies from being stored on your device through the appropriate browser settings. Please check with your browser provider for specific instructions.
Our website can still be accessed even without cookies enabled, but our service may then only function to a limited extent or not at all.
5. Website Analysis
This website uses technologies from Google Analytics (a web analytics service by Google Inc.), Mouseflow (a web analytics service by Mouseflow ApS), and Hotjar (a web analytics service by Hotjar Ltd.) to collect and store statistical data for marketing and optimization purposes. So-called "cookies" are used — text files stored on your computer that allow analysis of your use of the website. Pseudonymous usage profiles may be created from this data. Our statistics service providers only store this data in shortened (anonymized) form, making identification impossible.
Data collected using web analytics technologies is not used to personally identify visitors to this website without separately granted consent, and is not combined with personal data about the person behind the pseudonym. You can prevent data collection by the web analytics services by clicking the following links (depending on the tool). This sets an opt-out cookie, which prevents future collection of your data when visiting this website. This opt-out remains valid as long as you do not delete the cookie. The cookie is set for the named domain, per browser and device.
This website uses Mouseflow, a web analytics tool by Mouseflow ApS, Flæsketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark. Data processing serves the purpose of analyzing this website and its visitors. Data is collected and stored for marketing and optimization purposes. Pseudonymous usage profiles may be created from this data. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Mouseflow's web analytics tool records randomly selected individual visits (only with anonymized IP address). This creates a log of mouse movements and clicks, with the aim of replaying a sample of individual website visits and deriving potential improvements for the website. Data collected with Mouseflow is not used to personally identify visitors to this website without separately granted consent, and is not combined with personal data about the person behind the pseudonym. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR arising from the legitimate interest in direct customer communication and needs-based design of the website. You have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to this processing of personal data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can disable recording globally across all websites using Mouseflow for your current browser via the following link: https://mouseflow.de/opt-out/
If you are interested in a data processing agreement, you can conclude one directly with us via RightSignature online: https://mouseflow.de/gdpr/
6. Social Media
In addition to this website, we also maintain presences on various social media platforms. If you visit such a presence, personal data may be transmitted to the provider of the social network. In addition to the data you specifically enter on that social platform, the social network provider may also collect, process, or use other information.
Furthermore, the social network provider may collect, process, or use key data about the computer system from which you access it — for example, your IP address, processor type, and browser version including plug-ins.
If you are logged into your personal account on the respective platform while visiting, that platform may associate the visit with your account. If you do not want this association to occur, you must log out of your account before visiting our presence.
Please refer to the respective platform's terms for the purpose and scope of data collection by that platform, as well as further processing, use, and your related rights:
Facebook Terms
Google+ / YouTube Terms
Twitter Terms
Use of Facebook Custom Audiences
This website uses the remarketing function "Custom Audiences" of Facebook Inc. ("Facebook"). This allows interest-based advertisements ("Facebook Ads") to be shown to visitors of this website when they visit Facebook or other websites that also use this feature. Our interest in this is to show you advertising relevant to your interests, in order to make our offerings more appealing to you.
For this purpose, Facebook's remarketing tag has been implemented on this website. When you visit the website, this tag establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. This transmits to Facebook's server the information that you have visited this website, and Facebook associates this information with your personal Facebook account. Further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your related rights and options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. Alternatively, you can disable the "Custom Audiences" remarketing feature at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads. You must be logged into Facebook to do so.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable Facebook's usage-based advertising on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
Embedded Content
Our website also uses embedded content (videos) from YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company of Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
When you visit a page with such content, a connection to YouTube's servers is established, and the content is displayed by being sent to your browser.
This transmits to YouTube's server which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a YouTube member at the time, YouTube will associate this information with your personal account on that platform. You can prevent this association by logging out of your account before visiting our website.
7. Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking
We use Google Ads to promote our services on external websites by means of advertisements (so-called Google Ads). We can determine, in relation to the campaign data, how successful individual advertising measures are. Our interest in this is to show you advertising relevant to your interests, to make our website more appealing to you, and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.
These advertisements are delivered by Google via so-called "ad servers." For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, through which certain parameters for measuring success — such as ad impressions or user clicks — can be measured. If you reach our website via a Google ad, a cookie is stored on your computer by Google Ads. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. Analytical values typically stored with this cookie include the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), and opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed).
These cookies allow Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of different Ads customers. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data as part of the advertising measures described. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can determine which advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of these advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify users based on this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence over the scope and further use of data collected by Google through the use of this tool, and therefore inform you according to our knowledge as follows: through the integration of Ads Conversion tracking, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or not logged in, it is possible that the provider will learn and store your IP address.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) through appropriate settings in your browser software — in particular, suppressing third-party cookies will mean you do not receive ads from third-party providers; b) by disabling conversion-tracking cookies by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com" at https://www.google.de/settings/ads (this setting will be deleted if you clear your cookies); c) by disabling interest-based ads from providers participating in the "About Ads" self-regulation program via http://www.aboutads.info/choices (this setting will also be deleted if you clear your cookies); d) by permanently disabling it in Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome via http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Please note that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this offering.
The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR. Further information on data protection at Google can be found here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has committed to the EU-US Privacy Shield: https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
8. Google Remarketing
In addition to Google Ads Conversion tracking, we use Google Remarketing. This is a method by which we aim to reach you again. Through this application, our advertisements may be displayed to you during your further internet use after visiting our website. This is done using cookies stored in your browser, through which Google records and evaluates your usage behavior when visiting various websites. This allows Google to determine your previous visit to our website. According to Google, remarketing data collected is not combined with your personal data that Google may store. In particular, Google states that pseudonymization is used for remarketing.
9. Use of Vimeo
We use, among others, the provider Vimeo to embed videos. Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC, headquartered at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011. We use Vimeo plug-ins on some of our web pages. If you visit pages of our website containing such a plug-in — for example, our media library or e-learning pages — a connection to Vimeo's servers is established, and the plug-in is displayed. This transmits to Vimeo's server which of our web pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a Vimeo member at the time, Vimeo will associate this information with your personal account. When using the plug-in — for example, clicking a video's start button — this information is also associated with your account. You can prevent this association by logging out of your Vimeo account and deleting the relevant Vimeo cookies before using our website.
Further information on data processing and privacy at Vimeo can be found at https://vimeo.com/privacy.
10. Use of Digistore
For payment processing, your data collected as part of an order is passed on to Digistore24 GmbH, St.-Godehard-Straße 32, 31139 Hildesheim, Germany. Your data is exchanged between the respective product manufacturer, licensor, or service provider, or the shipping company commissioned with delivery, insofar as this is necessary for delivering goods (name, address, and possibly phone number for coordinating delivery dates). For payment processing, we may pass your payment data on to the financial institution commissioned with the payment.
If you have questions about the disclosure of your personal data, or wish to request information, correction, blocking, or deletion of data, or to revoke consent given, please contact Digistore24 directly at support@digistore24.com.
11. Use of Kajabi for the Members' Area
Our members' area (https://greatguitarists.mykajabi.com/login) uses the services of the provider KAJABI, operated by the US-based company KAJABI, LLC, 333 El Camino Real, Suite 200, Tustin, CA 92780, USA, to provide online video courses and other content on the "Die Neuen Helden Akademie" website at www.dieneuenhelden.de, including its subpages, and including payment processing. KAJABI also provides services for collecting newsletter subscribers as well as organizing and analyzing newsletter distribution. If you enter data for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g., name and email address), this data is stored on KAJABI's servers in the USA. Data provided in connection with registering for and using our pages and online video courses — in particular your name, email address, address, and payment data — is stored on KAJABI's servers in the USA.
With the help of KAJABI, we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent via KAJABI, a file embedded in the email (a so-called web beacon) connects to KAJABI's servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. Technical information is also collected (e.g., time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be attributed to the individual newsletter recipient. It is used solely for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses may be used to better tailor future newsletters to recipients' interests.
If you do not want your data analyzed by KAJABI, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter for this purpose. You can also unsubscribe directly on the website.
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored until you unsubscribe, and is deleted from both our servers and KAJABI's servers after unsubscribing. Data stored with us for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the members' area) remains unaffected by this.
KAJABI uses this data to provide and process payment for the online video courses and to send newsletters on our behalf. The provider also uses this data to optimize or improve its own services, such as the technical optimization of its offerings. According to our information, KAJABI does not use this data to pass it on to third parties.
KAJABI's data processing agreement can be found here: https://kajabi.com/policies.
KAJABI uses the following cookies on these pages:
_kjb_session: Kajabi session cookie – tracks the active session so you do not need to log in again.
kjba: Kajabi affiliate token – tracks which person sent you a relevant link.
_abv: Admin bar hidden – tracks whether you have chosen to see or hide the preview.
11.1 Cookies and Local Storage
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called "cookies" and "HTML5 local storage" on our website. Cookies and local storage are small text files stored and saved on your device via a browser. When using cookies and local storage, the following data is stored and transmitted: session IDs, language settings, login information, entered search terms, frequency of page visits, origin of the first page visit, use of website functions, referrer pages, countdown times, split-test URLs, and page visits.
The data collected on our website is pseudonymized through technical measures. As a result, it is no longer possible to attribute the data to you. The data is not stored together with any other personal data about you.
The legal basis for processing personal data using cookies and local storage is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
11.2 Registrations for Members' Areas and Webinars
You have the option of registering on our website. In this case, we collect the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us as part of your registration, e.g., your company name, address, email address, account details, phone number. Which data is collected is shown in the respective input forms.
The legal basis for processing your data is accordingly Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
12. Use of the Font Awesome Typeface
This website uses the Font Awesome typeface for display purposes. When you access a page, your browser loads this typeface. In doing so, your IP address along with the page (web address) you visited is transmitted to NetDNA, LLC (3575 Cahuenga Blvd. West, Suite 330, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA). Further information can be found at https://www.maxcdn.com/legal/#privacy.
13. Use of Google Fonts
This website uses certain fonts from Google for display purposes. When you access a page, your browser loads these fonts. In doing so, your IP address along with the page (web address) you visited is transmitted to a server operated by Google. Further information on these Google fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
14. Data Security
We protect our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your data by unauthorized persons. Despite regular checks, however, complete protection against all risks is not possible.
In some places, the website uses the industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This ensures the confidentiality of your personal information transmitted over the internet.

This is used exclusively for any follow-up questions related to your comment and will under no circumstances be passed on to third parties or used for other purposes. The IP address assigned to you at the time of commenting is also stored.
16. Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties
We will not otherwise disclose personal data without your express consent, unless there is a legal basis permitting us to do so — for example, if we are legally obligated to disclose data (information to law enforcement authorities and courts; information to public bodies entitled to receive data under statutory provisions, e.g., social security agencies, tax authorities, etc.), or if we engage third parties bound by professional confidentiality to enforce our claims.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Changes in law or changes to our internal processes may make it necessary to update this privacy policy. This privacy policy was last updated on May 10, 2018. We will inform you of any material changes to this privacy policy on our website.
18. Right to Information, Correction, Deletion, and Restriction
You have the right to request, free of charge, information about the personal data we have stored about you. If your data is inaccurate, you have the right to have it corrected. You are entitled to request deletion and restriction of your data at any time.
Stored personal data will be deleted if you withdraw your consent to its storage, or if knowledge of this data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored. However, deletion will only take place after the expiry of retention periods required under tax and commercial law.

Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out: You may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, where applicable.
